Last updated: 6 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Drover Intelligence Inc. (“Drover”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit droverintelligence.com, join our founding list, communicate with us, or use the Drover service.

Who we are

Drover Intelligence Inc. operates droverintelligence.com and the Drover Intelligence service. Privacy questions or requests can be sent to our Privacy contact through the contact form on our website.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to personal information we handle through:

This policy does not govern third-party websites or services that we do not control, even when Drover links to or integrates with them.

Information we collect

Founding list and business contact information

When you request access or contact us, we may collect your name, work email address, business or firm name, website, whether you operate or advise a business, plan or billing preference, referral information, and any context you choose to provide about your business.

Account and profile information

When an account is created, we may collect your name, email address, organization, role, authentication information, account permissions, plan information and the business profile you provide to configure your Drover watch.

Business content and files

You may provide information about products, suppliers, customers, markets, trade lanes, risks, opportunities, decisions, documents, questions or other business context. We process this information to provide intelligence relevant to your organization.

Usage, device and security information

We may collect information generated when you use the website or service, including IP address, browser and device information, pages or product features used, timestamps, session and authentication events, audit records, error logs and security signals. Hosting and infrastructure providers may also create operational logs.

Communications and connected channels

If you communicate with Drover by email or connect an available messaging service, we may process the contact identifiers, workspace or channel identifiers, message content, delivery information and authorization tokens needed to provide that communication. We only connect a channel when you or an authorized user chooses to do so.

Payment information

If you purchase a paid plan, payment information may be collected and processed by our payment provider. Drover does not need to store full payment-card details in ordinary customer profile fields. We may receive transaction records such as payment status, amount, billing period and limited billing contact information.

Where information comes from

Most personal and business information comes directly from you or another authorized user in your organization. We may also receive information from an advisor or business contact who introduces you, from services you choose to connect, and from public sources used by Drover to produce commercial intelligence.

How we use information

We use information as reasonably necessary to:

AI and automated processing

Drover uses automated systems, including artificial-intelligence models, to classify information, summarize sources, connect developments to business context and generate decision-support outputs. These systems may process business information you provide when it is relevant to the feature you are using.

We may use third-party model and infrastructure providers to perform parts of this processing. We do not intentionally use one customer’s private business information to personalize another customer’s results. Public-source intelligence may be reused across customers where the underlying public information is relevant to more than one organization.

How we share information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Drover, including providers of hosting, databases, security, authentication, email, payments, model processing, document generation, analytics or communications. They receive information only as needed for the services they provide to us.

We may also disclose information:

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Data location and international processing

Drover is a Canadian company serving businesses that may operate internationally. Our service providers may process or store information in Canada, the United States or other countries where they or their infrastructure operate. Information processed outside your province or country may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

We do not represent that all customer information is stored exclusively in Canada.

Security and tenant separation

We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration. These include access controls, organization-level data separation, transport encryption, audit logging and controlled handling of secrets and credentials.

Structured client-profile data is maintained within Drover’s tenant-separated application database. When file-upload features are enabled, uploaded files are stored separately in private, tenant-scoped object storage and associated with the submitting organization; they are not intended to be exposed through public URLs.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact us promptly.

SOC 2 readiness work is in progress. We do not claim to hold a completed SOC 2 report unless and until that status changes.

Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security and business records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Retention periods may differ by data type.

If you ask us to delete personal information, we will act on the request as required by applicable law and subject to legitimate retention needs. Some information may remain for a limited period in backups, security logs or records that we are legally required to keep.

Cookies and similar technologies

Drover and its service providers may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, preferences and operation of the website or product. If we introduce non-essential analytics or advertising technologies that require additional notice or consent, we will update our practices and this policy as required.

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information, to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing, or to raise a concern about how we handle your information.

You can:

We may need to verify your identity or authority before completing a request. Some rights are subject to exceptions under applicable law.

Business users and advisors

If your employer, firm or advisor provides access to Drover, that organization may control your account and may be able to access or manage information associated with its workspace. Questions about information controlled by your organization should also be directed to that organization.

Children

Drover is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the service.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Drover, our providers or applicable requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version. If a change materially affects how we handle information for active customers, we will provide reasonable notice where required.
